Realising the Oneness of Life
Realising the "Oneness" of Life, which some call God.
I think, for me it happened rather spontaneously. I was sitting at my desk, at work contemplating a question: "Why am I me ?" and the answer appeared "Someone had to be".
It is a rather deep answer, though seemingly it is not. It is obviously true. I realised "someone" is my neighbour, my friends, my family, my countrymen, the plants and the animals. Everyone is someone.
So then the realisation was, there is but one someone and I am it. This someone is playing many many roles, having many many perspectives seemingly separate but at the same time intricately connected.
There was a deep knowing that behind every pair of eyes, is that someone, which I also am. It was a rather powerful experience. Visceral. People who feel alienated.. people who do not feel they belong anywhere.. that they are not worthy.. people who feel powerless..
Do you not know what you are?
Do you not know that you belong?
That you are loved beyond measure?
That this entire universe exists for you?
That we are all brothers and sisters ?
Knowing this.. what harm can you do ? To whom can you be cruel ? There is only you. We need to understand this.
As long as we do not feel it, the world will continue to be divided against itself. Such division causes destruction.
We have to understand this.
"You are that which you seek"
