Reaching for the Sun
Gods, as we traditionally think of them is something which is larger than us, wiser than us, more powerful than us. They are transcendent to us.
So we have become accustomed to "Reach towards the Gods" in much the same way that a flower "Reach towards the sun". Gods inspire us, and gives us something to reach for.
But wait. Something is lost.
We have forgotten to see the divine in the small things. Like ants. Birds. Waters. A blade of grass. The things that we perceive as smaller than us, we ignore. Not worthy of our reverence, at all.
But that is what we have to relearn. We have to become (once again, because this knowledge was not always lost), able to see the divine in the small things. The poor. The wretched. The unimpressive.
If we can do that, we can create once again, harmonious loving relationships with the Earth rather than the exploitative "rapey" relationships we currently have to our only home.
Can it be done?
Not without people becoming wiser than they are today. We used to be wise, but we lost it.
It is time to regain it.
