A Meditation on Consciousness

Imagine a singular point - a singularity.

It exists nowhere and at no time. It exists as the source of beams of light. Or rather, it does not "project," as that would imply it is separate from what it creates. No, it is that which it projects. One beam for up, one beam for down. One for hot, one for cold. One for life, one for death. Each beam has an equal and opposite counterpart, perfectly balanced.

This singularity creates duality in this way, and this duality is the experience we have. Yet, underlying it all is the singularity - the unity of the One who creates and who is.

The reality we experience is where the beams meet. Where heat meets cold, there is the temperature I feel. Where light meets darkness, there is the twilight I see. Where anger meets forgiveness, there is the sentiment I feel. Our existence, is a warzone. Without that war, nothing could be experienced at all.

To me, it seems quite clear that this singularity is consciousness. After all, it is the source of all things within consciousness. You, then, are the singularity watching itself through infinite perspectives. It is; you are. Which makes it the same as you.

While everything in existence may be akin to a computation - the language of reality is mathematical it appears - consciousness itself is the singular thing which cannot be computed because it is that which contains all computations. It is that which contains all of reality.

I for one, think that this realization is what "saves" and gives "eternal life". We do not need saving, and we already have eternal life. It is simply a realization.

Jesus did not conquer death, as death as a "finality" does not truly exist. He is alive today, he lives in you and me and everyone. There is noone else. There is no one here - except your infinite and eternal self, which we all have a share in.
