There is no other force than love that would make eternal existence bearable.
If one is to exist for ever and ever with no chance whatsoever of not being, would anyone desire that existence to be hateful and filled with suffering?

No.

Naturally, one would strive to make it as good as it possibly could be for everyone and everything - having recognised that everyone and everything is oneself.

Such striving comes from deep compassion, from deep love.

That is why love is stronger. It is the only force that makes sense in the face of eternity.

So what then of the suffering and pain that exists in our lives?

They are teachers, leading us back to love.

With deep understanding of the self, suffering and pain can be seen in another light. Not as fundamental to existence, but as necessary components of an existence which is created with love and compassion for all living beings.
