The Sinner and the Saint

The one who can and will forgive the worst sinner, is that which knows itself capable of committing the worst sin. The one who cannot, is the one who is in his or her own eyes, good.

So which of the two was Jesus? Which of the two are you?

God, if he was "Only good" as traditionally understood, could not forgive anything that was less than himself. Anything tainted by "sin" would he have to cast out, and reject. It is the sinner in us, who forgives. It is not the "good". Good without Bad, just as Bad without Good is evil. Only in unity are they perfect. God is not good, God is perfect.

Fortunately, God is both the sinner and the saint. Capable of forgiving all, knowing himself to be all. Without "the devil", no forgiveness would be possible whatsoever.

If you can recognise yourself in all things, even in the worst sinners among us, then you know God. If you cannot, thinking yourself better or worse than another, then you do not.

You are also perfect. If you come to know yourself, you'll know.
