How can love exist if All is One?

God is both One and Many.

In exploring non-duality, people often emphasize the "One" while overlooking the reality of "Many." However, non-duality doesn't mean some aspects of reality disappear - it means both opposites exist in unity. Recognizing this prevents the pitfalls of solipsism.

Non-duality doesn’t dissolve duality but incorporates it into a coherent framework, where the opposites are no longer in conflict.

What appears as a struggle between opposites is, in truth, a harmonious interplay - a “loving relationship.” The light, then, loves the darkness. The One loves the Many, and the Many love the One.

When we view all of existence as relational, love naturally emerges. You are both me and not me, creating space for love to exist between us. Even in unity, there is a "between" that allows for connection and relationship.

This reality of ours is truly a work of brilliance. The Bible expresses this sentiment beautifully:

“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body - whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free - and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.” – 1 Corinthians 12:12-14 (NIV)
