Christianity and the Son of God

I am a part of everything, and everything is a part of me. When I was born into the world, the world was born into me. "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me".

Jesus understood this much, that we are all connected. Our essence is one. We are of the same fabric, the same living spirit that moves the stars and the planets, move us.

As for his miracles.. I do not know. I tend to disbelieve them. I am more accepting of a Jesus who did not do miracles, than one who did. I am more accepting of a Jesus who did not claim to be God, than one who did.

I tend to think, that the Romans and the early Christians needed their leader to be God, as it was a fairly common thing back then, to name their leaders "Son of God". I think his miracles was overstated, and borrowed from earlier legends and myths in order to lend credibility to the new religion - Christianity.

The ironic thing is, that the resurrection and miracles that pulled the early believers in, might be the very thing that turns people away from Jesus very true message today.

But alas. The same living spirit that animated Jesus, is animating us.

He is, in a sense, still here. Still alive. In a tree. In a bird. In me. In you. In understanding the illusory nature of death, he did indeed conquer death.

"On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you." - John 14:20
