Religions are languages.

They all speak about the same thing. Once you recognize this, you have a litmus test for your own understanding of "that which they speak about".

Does your understanding of God and Jesus translate into Hinduism?

Does it translate into Buddhism? New Age? Atheism? How about tribal religions?

If it doesn’t, then the possibility exist that you do not know what you are talking about.

It doesn’t matter which religion you adhere to. They are complimentary and not opposed to each other like English and Norwegian is not in opposition.

They are two languages, describing the same reality in slightly different ways. Religion is that, but for the metaphoric, the symbolic, the subconcious, the unseen reality.

Just like some people speak English poorly, other people speak religion poorly. Those who speak religion poorly, cause all sorts of misunderstandings.

Misunderstandings that have sometimes serious consequences.
