The Lion and the Alpha male

A lion does not need to prove it is a lion. If it attempts to do so, it is not a lion.

The lion rests in what it is. There is an easiness over its being. Effortlessly, it is what it is.

Perhaps that is why "I am that which I am" is so powerful to rest in.

Acceptance of what one is, whatever that may be, lends itself to authenthicity and confidence. In such acceptance, a deep and unyielding strength lies hidden.

There is also a surrender inherent in it. A cessation of the struggling, which so many engage in - trying to seek validation from outside of oneself. That struggle is ended through surrender.

I see some posts, from boys trying to become "alpha males" floating around on the internet, at times. They seem to forget, or not understand, that in their very attempt at becoming is an admission of not being.

It is an act and a performance, not a lived truth.
