Hating God

To hate God for all the injustice, the cruelty and the malice in the world is a perfectly normal response to the perceived evil that exists. But that hate is also born out of incomplete understanding of God's love for you.

You are allowed to hate him. That is what makes his love truly great. That he does not "Lord it over us" makes you free. What is the freedom to hate worth to you?

To me it is everything. Without it, I'd be a slave. But I am not.

Even the worst evil in this world, is fundamentally an expression of love. It is up to us what world we want to create, and exist in. No Dictator in the Sky is going to tell us how or impose limits upon our freedom.

If one took this understanding of love, and applied it in our own relationships, what would the world become? Less government and micromanaging of peoples lives perhaps. Less people wanting to own other people, or wield power over them, for certain. More people refusing to be ruled and governed. More genuine connections between people and groups of people, based upon us being our authentic selves. A diversification of culture. Implicit acceptance of others exactly as they are, perhaps - because what freedom is given you, you should give others also.

In that world, when the next would-be dictator comes along, and tells you that you have to sacrifice your life for him or her, you would know yourself to be free to disobey and the would-be dictators power would be ended by you not giving your power away.

What would happen if the russian troops stopped giving their power away to Putin? Would the war continue? Would the images of the "enemy" remain the same?

It would not, because it is a construct and not reality.

You are free.

The only way you can be bound, is by accepting bondage.

So don't.
