Unconditional Love
Unconditional love exists, but it is important to understand what that love is, and even more important to understand what that love is not. If you do not understand, you will be used and abused.
Unconditional love, is the love that lets all things be as they are, even the abusers and the killers. Within such love, is freedom to be what you want to be, without love looking the other way and disowning you.
Unconditional love is the rain that falls on the dry plains. It is the love that allows evil to exist, because it also is loved. It is in a certain sense, not interfering with what is - because it is truly without conditions.
Existing within this love, one has to navigate that existence and in recognising that agape love which surrounds us, we can align ourselves with it. This leads to non-judgement, to compassion, to forgiveness but it also leads to self-preservation, to avoiding being abused, to distance oneself from evil. Without judging it because you see, that it too is loved.
It also leads to a sense of inner peace, as the war within comes to an end. You finally manage to see that you too are loved like that, despite your inner conflicts - your light and your darkness.
So to loop back to my first line. Unconditional love exists. Unconditional love, is existence itself. I think this is what is meant by "God is love."
I could be wrong, but I have an intuition that I am not.
