A Non-Dual Look at the Lord's Prayer.
The Lord's Prayer. Given to us by Jesus, as the "proper way to pray". I want to go into it a little bit, to deconstruct the mechanism behind it. Why did Jesus think it was a better prayer than "talking to God like the barbarians do"?
To begin to understand, one must know a little bit about quantum physics. Namely, the observer effect which states that what we see, is what we get. What we expect will become, is what will become.
When the Lord's Prayer is viewed through the lens of cutting edge quantum physics, a few things become clear if one sits with it and contemplate it for a while.
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.
This is the prayer. At first glance, it seems like it is speaking to an outside God. Petitioning an outside God. Asking for food, forgiveness and all the rest of it. But that is only the surface layer of the prayer. Many people have never gotten past the surface, and there is nothing wrong with relating to the surface layer at all.
But if one looks deeper, one begins to see a few things.
The prayer requires of the one who prays that they see what they are praying for, come to fruition. One can not ask for forgiveness, without also imagining it coming to pass. One can not ask for our daily bread, without also envisioning oneself being fed. One can not ask for being led away from temptation and being delivered from evil, except by envisioning a world where that has happened.
The request and the vision goes together.
And while they are both important, the proper way to understand it may be to see the request and the vision of the request fulfilled, as one thing.
Returning to the observer effect, it is probable that the envisioning of request fulfilled, collapses the quantum field of probability which exist in a state of superposition, into a becoming.
So the Lord's Prayer is not a prayer to an outside God, who sits in a cloud and decides who is forgiven, who goes hungry and who is led into temptation.
It is a prayer to the self within. Not a petition at all. Command.
It is quantum technology, prayer is not a desperate plea to a distant monarch, but a technological alignment of the observer's consciousness.
All the Lord's Prayer requires of you, is that you believe that what you ask for, will come to pass.
But that makes me wonder.. How did Jesus know?
If we look at Jesus as a master of consciousness, he understood that what we call "language" and take for granted is in actuality programming language for the subconscious mind, and we wield it while being unconscious of its power. The "Barbarian" error is using "vain repetitions" (Matthew 6:7). From a quantum physics standpoint, this is "noisy data." It reinforces the reality of the problem rather than the reality of the solution.
The Lord's Prayer fixes that. No noisy data. Command.
I think Jesus didn’t view the universe as a collection of separate objects, but as a living, responsive holism. He knew that the "Father" (The Witness) and the "Son" (The Witnessed) are one. Therefore, the prayer isn't a letter sent through the mail, but a tuning fork being struck to resonate with a specific reality.
"The lamp of the body is the eye; if therefore your eye is single, your whole body will be full of light." (Matthew 6:22)
In modern terms.. If your observation is focused, your material reality becomes coherent with your observation.

If you grasp the implications of this completely, it will change your life. And that is not an understatement.
