The World is our Subconscious
It is intriguing to consider the possibility that the 'outside world' is synonymous with what we usually call the 'subconscious.'
This perspective makes a lot of sense. We cannot consciously control and direct it as we do our regular active consciousness, yet it shapes and gives rise to that consciousness, much like the ocean shapes and gives rise to waves.
Assuming this is true, then death as we understand it simply is not real. There is a fading away of the wave, but the ocean remains to give rise to new waves, and upon death, we become part of the ocean once more.
This, assuming it is true, means that we have never lost anyone to death. They are alive in us, and in everything around us. Including 'that guy Jesus,' if he was indeed a real wave rather than a fictional one.
