In every pair of eyes, there you are

Looking solely at what can be clearly seen, and not diving into metaphysics at all it can be observed that everything is connected, and each part is dependent upon the totality.

The true nature of each part then, is not "part" but "totality". "Part", such as a human being, is a construct which is used to navigate the totality but it is self evident that it is not anything by itself. Only as part of the totality can a human being arise.

It seems to me that it is undeniably so that if God does not dwell in the metaphysical, but rather is the totality which is apparent to all who cares to look in the mundane world for the divine, then each of us is actually God. It seems to me that this is obviously so.

Our minds invent many things. Thousands of Gods, so far. None of them with any reality beyond the mind. It seems to me that our search for God does nothing but confuse us, from the self evident truth which is there for all to see.

The more we search, the harder we look, the less we see.

Only when the search ends, the questions cease, can we hope to come upon the truth. Only to realise that it was always as close as your very own self.

From who do you need to be saved? From who do you need forgiveness? There's no one but "you" here. In every pair of eyes, there you are. Save yourself. Forgive yourself. There's no one else who can.

Oh and treat yourself kindly. Wherever you find yourself. That's the most important thing, after all. None of these insights mean anything at all unless they lead to a greater compassion, a greater love. It is after all you, who decide what kind of God actually exist in this mundane divine totality we find ourselves in.
