The Beauty of Unconditional Love
When I think of unconditional love, I think of everything which works to support me and the life I live, without asking anything in return for it. The air I breathe. The food I consume. The very ground I walk on. The water I drink to sustain me.
It is all freely given to all living beings. There are no conditions attached to it at all, except perhaps that we only take what we need so that there is enough for everything and everyone.
And once you see this, you also see how we do not understand that love. We do not see it. So we are as ungrateful children, taking everything for granted.
Entitled and spoiled rotten.
We simply don't understand the agape love of God, so we are not grateful nor appreciative.
And when we are ungrateful and unappreciative, we do not see the beauty.
