It is painful to watch the children die.

The children of Gaza. The children of Ukraine. The children of Israel.

It is painful to watch the "leaders" we have elected so blatantly disregard the value of life while arguing over made up rules, ideas and concepts such as borders and nationality.

The more I see, the more I despair over the ignorance and inhumanity which rules our world because there's no real tangible way to change it. I can't overthrow the systems, the concepts and ideas which destroys us because the people in power are in power because of the systems and therefore disallow their dismantling as it would reduce their privilege.

So they sacrifice the children.

The more I see, the more I despair. Or I willfully close my eyes, which is blindness. I know the solution. That only makes the pain worse, because why don't they? It's so obvious.

It just breaks my heart and I try to resist hating the "leaders" and the "elite" but I sometimes fail. And even that hurts. How can they be so blind ?

I have tried finding "joy" but all I find is sorrow. Sorrow, darkness and hopelessness.

This broken world...

Its enough to make a grown man cry.
