It is said that the Bible is God's "Living Word". I had this thought yesterday: What if the physical Bible, which I hold in my hand is that living word - and not only the stories in it.

This world and all within it is created using "vibration", which is "sound", "light" etc (use any metaphor you want for this), but essentially "God spoke the world into existence", so it makes sense that it is the physical living world around us which is Gods living word. Including the physical bible which I can hold in my hand.

Furthering this line of thought (bringing "God" into the present reality rather than into abstract thought): It is not that which we fear, which is God (such as Hell). Hell is only a thought. The thought is "Now" and so it is God. The fear is "Now" and so is God. Hell however lacks reality and therefore is not God.

I once wrote "The Universe is my Holy Book". This line of thought explores that notion further. So many people read the words on the page, while paying no mind to the page upon which the words are written. It is to their mind "unimportant". The truth to them, is therefore hidden in plain sight. It is in fact fundamental to the words. Without the page, there could be no written words. If the words are "alive" then so must the page be also.

The Bible has been interpreted in every which way since it was created, creating division and conflict. But that it is a book, and if I hold it in my hand, that I hold it in my hand is not up for interpretation. It is an undisputable fact and I am only interested in the facts about God. This fact cannot create division nor conflict. It can be clearly seen.

Even the notion that "Jesus was the Word of God" can be tied into this, but it removes the pedestalization of Jesus, as every human being is in this view fully God and fully human in the same manner as Jesus himself. This means that Jesus was a man who understood the reality of things, before others of his time did. In this view, I also am 100% God and 100% human. I use to say "God is me, but I am not God". How is this possible ? I am human, I am not the totality of existence. But the totality of existence is me.

The problem of course, is that you cannot adhere to this understanding and continue to abuse the divine that is you, and which surrounds you. Understanding that everyone and everything is God, your very own self, carries with it a certain.. sense of morality - an unerring compass. "Right living" becomes a natural and self-evident thing. "Do unto others as you..."

It becomes clear that most of the things we call "evil" in this world is not true evil, but rather ignorance of truth. If you are no longer ignorant of the truth.. what harm can you do?
