The Fishing Hook

The Church's version of Christianity is a bit like a fishing hook.

It hooks into your mind, and is extremely difficult to be rid of.

Why? Because "What if". But that "what if" is fear. Fear of judgement and hell primarily. On some level (although not consciously always), a Christian is living in fear.

Being conscious of the fear, comes when one tries to remove the hook.

This is also true for Islam.

When one looks at it like this, it is not strange that so much of the world "believes" in these religions. They are extremely hard to break away from. But if the hook is removed, so is the fear - and one is free to be who one is, instead of being who one is told to be.
