King Solomon's Problem
What would it be like if everyone took seriously the notion that all is fundamentally ourselves?
Imagine the complete opposite of today’s society.
Cooperation instead of competition. Equality instead of inequality. Love and unity instead of hate and separation. Peace instead of war.
Worth talking about.. isn't it?
People ask with straight faces, "What is the meaning of life?" Nothing, except love, gives life meaning. Everything else is hollow and empty.
Love what, then?
The grass. The trees. The animals and the people. We are here, I think, to protect it all. Which is the complete opposite of what we are actually doing.
To bring that world into reality... That is meaningful. That is why I write. Again and again and again, the same thing. Until the world is changed.
It’s strange, but except for the desire to be existentially safe, I have no greater desire than to see this world become whole. Sure, money and wealth would be fun. For a while. But it does not provide meaning in the long run.
It’s like King Solomon, who lamented that all the riches of the world were as dust in the wind without the Lord.
Meaningless.
Vanity.
Empty.
Dust in the wind.
