Politics is nothing more than the adult version of the kindergarten sandbox drama. It is equally childish, and equally stupid.

But because we are "adults" we place great importance upon it and fail to recognise that for children, the sandbox is very important also.

Trump, Putin and all the rest of them, are like the bullies, who tell everyone else what game they should play. The bullies decide which game is played, and anyone who doesn’t comply gets kicked out or pushed around.

The difference is that as adults, we’ve layered it with ideology, nationalism, and rhetoric to make it seem grand and significant, when it’s still just people vying for control of the sandbox.

But in this sandbox, people get killed.

We should try acting like adults instead. But that requires that we first understand that we are acting like children, and I doubt most people have the self-awareness and humility to realize it.
