Hollywood

We readily accept that the physical realm has physical laws which govern it. Gravity for example. Very few accept or even consider that the realm of the mind has laws which govern it, in the same manner.

But the realm of the mind and the physical realm is one and the same.

Otherwise you could not have a mind, while in the physical realm. Therefore, if the physical has laws - so does the mental.

Physical laws are the laws we can observe, in the physical - but as the mind is "invisible" to us, so is its laws "invisible" to us.

None the less... they are there.

Those who recognise these laws as existing, are students of the occult, the esoteric - the hidden realm. I wonder, what would happen if we devoted ourselves to the study of the occult, as much as we have devoted ourselves to the study of the physical.

Perhaps we'd have yogis and magicians on every streetcorner. Miracle workers, like Jesus himself.

What "technologies" and sciences are hidden in the laws of the mind? It is a fascinating question. If earlier civilisations had technologies rivalling our own, it is possibly because they had a deeper understanding of the mental laws than we currently do, and not because their understanding of the physical laws was greater than ours.

Most of us have enough just getting out of bed, and going to work to even consider these things. Much less explore them.

Perhaps that is the purpose of the "entertainment" culture. To suppress and pacify so that such knowledge can be monopolized.

After all, Hollywood has firmly established in our mind that magic in general belongs in the "fantasy section", therefore our first reaction to claims of the supernatural is disbelief.

This disbelief is rooted in conditioning, rather than in truth. Did you know that "magic wands" traditionally was made of "Holly wood"?

Have they put a spell on us?
