Free Will vs Determinism.. again
Here I go again with free will vs determinism.
Have you ever experienced anything entirely deterministic? No. Because you would be a robot, only able to comply. In fact, there might not be a "self" in there at all. So determinism is a figment of the imagination. There has never been such a thing, except as a concept.
Have you ever experienced absolute free will? No. Because your every thought would materialize instantly. There would in this scenario only be the self, and nothing "apart" at all. So that also, is a figment of the imagination. Again, there has never been such a thing, except in the imagination.
The truth is in the middle. What you call freedom, is freedom within boundaries, or freedom within the laws. Gravity pulls. Time moves forward. Etc etc. Within the laws, you are free to exist. As you want. That is the extent of your free will, and you should be grateful, that reality is exactly like it is.
Change even the smallest thing about the laws, and there would be absolute chaos.
It is not either or, it is both at once. One must unite the opposites to understand reality. We experience our reality as separated (this vs that), but to understand it, one must perceive it as united.
Many I think, do not see the unity of opposites (coincidentia oppositorum) and so miss out on the totality of the picture, in which the "war" of creation is transformed into a quite beautiful and harmonious dance of love.
