Eternal Life

Because "it is", and because "I am", It is I and I am It.

Being itself is not divided, at all.

A common theme in near death experiences, is that the division between what they thought to be "self" and what they thought to be "other" dissolves, and the person who is near death experiences that they are everything and in everything. The boundary between their personal identity and the external world fades away. I find that to be supportive of the notion that there is indeed a "higher" self, a higher state of being.

When the "human being" ends - what is left is simply "being".

The traditional Christian understanding of "conquering death" centres on Jesus' resurrection as a historical and theological event that provides hope for eternal life. However, interpreting this concept through a philosophical or mystical lens offers an alternative perspective: that "conquering death" could also mean realizing the unreality of death.

This interpretation suggests that true victory over death lies in the understanding that our essence - our "being" - is eternal and beyond the reach of physical death. In this view, Jesus' resurrection might be seen as a profound symbol of this truth, inviting followers to awaken to the realization that life and being transcend the physical world, and that death is not an end, but a passage within the continuum of eternal existence.
