It is to my knowledge so, that the past informs the future, what will become, depends upon what has been. In essence, the future is built upon memories.

If we in the present creates something which will become a memory, it is unavoidable that it should affect the future. Be it a building, a relationship, a magical sigil, a magic ritual, a prayer.

I do not think there is anything supernatural about magic at all. It is just a way of seeing. How we see, determines what we see.

If I hold strongly in my mind that a ritual or a prayer should work, the memory of a ritual or prayer performed will inevitably inform the future.

In this way "self-created" or engineered memories can shape our future, in ways which seem like magic.
