Chains of Causality

One way to potentially understand how we are all the same, is to imagine our lives as chains of causality. If you experienced my causal chain, you would not make even the slightest change to it. The causality would compell you to make the exact same choices that I have made.

In that way, we are all the same. I am equally capable of being a narcissistic fascist asshole as Donald Trump. I am simply not experiencing his causal chain.

The mistake then, is to imagine oneself better than anyone else.

None of us are better than anyone else. Our chains are simply different.

But together, these chains come together to create a fabric.

That fabric is who we really are. Everything.

People have imagined this in many ways. As chains, as thread, as musical notes, as light..

I like the musical imagery. In it, the universe is a symphony.

And that symphony is never ever wrong.
