Angels seems to me to be the polished face of our psyche. Clean, sterile, safe. Romantic love, idealized friendships etc.

'Demons on the other hand, represents the dark undercurrent in the psyche. The shameful, the repressed, the things we do not say or admit. Lust, perversion, hate.

But this is the view of a fragmented self, caught in duality.

Both angels and demons are you and neither can "win" until they become one in a whole human being, with a whole psyche.

Such a human being is, I suppose, Holy - seeing as "Whole" is a root word for Holy.

Not spotless or without sin, but undivided.
